1. Overview

Appcly SEO Dashboard ("the Service", "we", "us") is an internal platform operated by Appcly to manage SEO, content, and local business marketing on behalf of our clients. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is protected — including data accessed through Google APIs.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information for Appcly staff and client ("owner") users: name, email address, and role.
  • Business information provided by clients: business name, address, category, website, and marketing content.
  • With a client's explicit authorization via Google OAuth, we may access their Google Business Profile data (business locations, reviews, review replies, posts, and performance metrics such as views, calls, and direction requests) and Google Search Console data (search performance for their properties).
  • Usage data such as login timestamps and actions taken within the dashboard, for security and support purposes.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide the core Service: SEO reporting, content management, and Google Business Profile management on behalf of the client business.
  • To respond to Google Business Profile reviews and publish posts, only where a client has connected and authorized that location.
  • To generate performance reports and dashboards for client businesses and Appcly staff.
  • To send transactional notifications (e.g. a new location was created or updated) to the relevant business owner.
  • To maintain and secure the Service, including diagnosing technical issues.

4. Google User Data & Limited Use

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account data obtained through OAuth (including Business Profile and Search Console data) is used solely to provide and improve the Service's user-facing features described in this policy. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising purposes. Human access to this data is limited to authorized Appcly staff for the purposes of providing support, and only when necessary for security, legal compliance, or with the account owner's consent.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share client or Google account data with third parties except: (a) service providers that help us operate the Service (such as our hosting and database providers) under confidentiality obligations, (b) when required by law, or (c) with the account owner's explicit consent.

6. Data Retention & Revoking Access

We retain account and business data for as long as an account remains active, or as needed to provide the Service. A client may revoke Appcly's access to their Google account at any time from their Google Account permissions page. Revoking access stops future syncing but does not automatically delete previously synced data — contact us to request deletion.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections, access controls, and authenticated API access — to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. OAuth tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to client browsers.

8. Contact
